Absolutely breathtaking antique mid-Victorian 18k yellow gold bar pin brooch features 1.92 carats of natural vibrant yummy plum colored rhodolite garnets. Accented with white gold applied quatrefoil embellishments and fleur de lis finials. The 18k gold mounting is completely hand-made with fine milgrained bead work accents. Features 3 cushion cut rhodolites each in secure 8 prong settings which measure 5mm x 3mm (.64 carat each, 1.92 carat total weight). The brooch measures 2-1/4" in length x 3/16" in width, and weighs 5.2 grams.

The piece is completely original with conical clasp, wide tubed hinge. No alterations or repairs, the garnets too, are all original to the piece. Typical of the majority of authentic antique Victorian jewels (particularly hand crafted pieces such as this), the piece is not gold hallmarked, but it has been carefully tested by two separate independent jewelers for karat fineness. The garnet in the center has one VERY tiny flea nip chip in the upper corner hidden under the prong with is very difficult to see even with magnification, and cannot be seen by the naked eye. Has been cleaned very lightly and retains most of its richly age darkened patina. In outstanding extremely well babied condition, mid-Victorian circa 1860-80. Garnet is the birthstone for the month of January. Truly delicious!

Payment is due within 48 hours of purchase. Money orders and cashiers checks and personal checks due within 1 week of purchase. Items will be returned to stock after this time. Ohio residents must add 6.75% sales tax (or provide us with a current Ohio vendors license number held in your name).
Non U.S. Buyers:
We accept Paypal (VERIFIED Paypal accounts only) for purchases under $200. For all purchases over $200 we require either Western Union or *Bank Wire Transfer. Any fees are the buyers responsibility.
*Information for Bank Wire Transfer: please contact and we will supply on request with an active purchase order. There is an automatic $20 fee applied to all bank wire transfers.
We ship United States Postal Service (USPS) only. Domestic U.S. shipping rates are listed in each of our descriptions. We always combine shipping on multiples purchases, so please do not submit payment until you receive an order confirmation from us.

OUR RETURN/REFUND POLICY:
If you live within the United States and wish to return an item, you MUST notify us within the allowable THREE (3) DAY INSPECTION PERIOD after you receive it. We will refer to the USPS delivery confirmation (tracking) date that was provided to you at the time of your purchase. Layaway's are Non-Refundable, transactions made outside of the United States are Non-Refundable. We do not charge restock fees for returns. Refunds are issued less shipping costs. Your time is valuable, as is ours- please contact us with any questions you may have BEFORE ordering. Read the description carefully for accurate measurements. The following conditions apply:
1) The item must be mailed back to us within 7 days of your notification of return.
2) The item must be returned via US Postal Service, in its original packaging, insured for the full purchase price with tracking. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Please provide us with the tracking number once posted.
3) The item must be received in the same condition as when it was shipped to you, with any tags or identifying marks intact.
In case of items damaged or lost during in shipment, please notify us immediately upon receipt of the parcel, and we will provide you with information regarding filing a claim with USPS. DO NOT RETURN ITEMS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING WITHOUT FIRST CONTACTING US, AS DOING SO WILL VOID THE UNITED STATES POST OFFICE SHIPPING INSURANCE POLICIES. Be sure to keep all the original packaging, as well as all pieces of the damaged item. USPS will ask to examine the parcel when the claim is filed.
USPS requires a waiting period of 30 days from the date of mailing before filing a claim for lost items. If you have not received your parcel within a reasonable period of time after receiving our notice of shipment, please email us to report the problem. USPS may ask to review email correspondence between the buyer and seller to confirm details and verify the loss.
